quantax.utils.where(cond: ArrayLike, x: ArrayLike, y: ArrayLike) → NDArray | Array | LogArray | ScaleArray

Element-wise selection cond ? x : y that preserves the LogArray / ScaleArray representation.

If either x or y is a ScaleArray the result is a ScaleArray; otherwise if either is a LogArray the result is a LogArray. In both cases the other operand is converted with from_value. Falls back to jax.numpy.where() / numpy.where() for plain arrays.
